Robbie’s Pro Tips
- You should never treat a stain at home if you are concerned. Many treatments are tried and tested and perhaps successful at removing stains. The trap can be where one application may work for say, a wine stain, is can have an adverse affect on other stains, like grease.
- You should never allow the stain to set with heat. Avoid tumble drying, ironing or leaving in the sun. More than likely the stain will set.
- Stain removal results rely on an active ingredient to remove the stain completely. It is best to know what the actual stain is from when consulting an expert.
- If you have a large, all over stain, consider you must advise consultant of any trimming that may decorate a jacket or a blouse. Often a leather trim can be overlooked and sustain damage if the garment is dry-cleaned and not spot cleaned.
- An expert dry-cleaner will seek your permission to proceed if that is the case.
