Leather lounges often see frequent use and dirt and grime build up over time. follow these easy steps to keep your leather lounge chair looking fabulous.

remove surface stains and spots

  1. Place a small amount of gentle, moisturizing soap such as Dove on a damp cloth and bring it to a light lather
  2. Rub the damp cloth on the leather without putting too much water on the leather
  3. Wipe away lather with a fresh damp cloth. Don’t rinse the leather in water
  4. Polish leather with a dry towel

deeply cleanse & condition

  1. Mix one part white vinegar to two parts linseed oil.
  2. Dampen a lint-free cloth in the vinegar solution and apply it to the chair in a circular motion. The vinegar will cut through the grime, and the linseed oil with condition the leather so that it doesn’t crack and is more stain resistant.
  3. Leave the solution on the chair overnight so that it can dissolve the grime and work into the leather fibres.
  4. Buff the excess vinegar solution from the chair with a clean, lint-free cloth. Make sure to remove all the excess solution so lint and dirt does not stick to it.

spots and spills

  • For Spots & Spills:Blot gently with a clean absorbent cloth. Use clear warm water and gently wipe the spill. Dry with a clean towel and allow to air dry. If water is used, use on entire area (i.e., entire seat cusion, arm rest etc) where the spill occurred. Do not dry with heat.
  • For Stubborn Spots & Stains:Use a mild solution of ivory soap and warm water. Apply the solution with a clean, wet sponge and wash, then rinse well. Always test a hidden area first.
  • For Butter, Oil or Grease:Wipe excess substance with a clean, dry cloth and let stand. The spot should dissipate into the leather in a short period of time. Do not apply water.
